Big Dawg Peru

January 23, 2011

A few Americans will be traveling to Peru to participate in the Latin America Big Dawg Tour.  Ed Hickey, George Levein, Brad Cox, Dave Miller (he’s really a Canadian, but that’s ok) Jeff Smith, Henrik Laursen from Miami and some other country, Marc Austin and Chet Raley.  Laurie Lindsey, Larjoski, also known as me, and Whitney Smith will be traveling with the crew.

Upon arrival we will pile into the hippie van that Brad rented and be off to cheer on our hometown Dawgs.  We are told there is WIFI so we can give you updates on the Americans in a strange country. If not, this is the last update you will get.  Hopefully, there will be good skiing and some not-so-serious news to share; maybe George will drink the water or something of interest.  I will also look forward to eating a donut in front of Ed Hickey.  Read the rest of this entry ?

Lakes of Katy Site Report

June 22, 2010

Friday, June 25
An updated running order just came in:
Running Order

Thursday, June 24
The water temperature has dropped about 8 degrees from the 90′s into the

Lakes of Katy

mid 80′s from storms rolling in over the past few days.  Today there was a head wind off the dock.  I was told for wind that it can be a slight cross.

Practice will start around 11:00 am.  4 passes $25.00

Put Antonia’s on your list for places to eat.  They serve very good Italian food like lasagna, spaghetti and meatballs and pastas.  If you go for lunch, don’t expect any sandwiches on the menu, but good salads and pastas.  They are located on 2001 Katy Mills Blvd, Ste. A.

Kelvin Kelm, Tournament Director

When you see Tournament Director, Kelvin Kelm, please give him a big thank you.  He has been working to prepare the site for the Dawgs.  Also, put O’Brien, Nautique and all the sponsors on your list to thank as well.
